Hi! I am Francesca.
I am a Child, Adolescent and Family transpersonal integrative psychotherapist and counsellor. I support young people and families that face challenges in their lives or have been through traumatic experiences. I am a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).
Transpersonal integrative psychotherapy seeks to include all parts of the Self: mind, body and spirit. The core principle is that we do not exist as isolated individuals: we are connected to others and all life around us.
Every young person is unique and brings different beliefs, life experiences and feelings to therapy, and it is the same for the family. My approach is tailored to the specific individual’s needs.
Depending on the preferences, I can work with a mix of talking and creative therapies.
With children and young people, who often struggle to express their feelings through words, I work creatively using art mediums, puppets, visualisations and Jungian sandplay therapy.
Adults that experienced trauma and have unsatisfactory results from other forms of therapy may respond well to sandplay therapy.
I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to adolescents and adults.
EMDR is a structured therapy that focuses on trauma memories. It helps to change the way the memory is stored in the brain through bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), therefore reducing and eliminating the problematic symptoms caused by the trauma.
EMDR has also been used successfully to help with phobias, depression, grief and severe anxiety.
PSYCH-K® Coaching is suitable for adults and adolescents, and it can be either delivered in person or online.
PSYCH-K® is a process that allows to change any limiting beliefs at the subconscious level of the mind and transform them into self-enhancing and positive ones that can support the person in all areas of his life.
