Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor

People come to counselling for many reasons; perhaps you feel depressed, angry, anxious, stressed or stuck in some way.  You may have been through a painful experience or transition in your life or you may feel that you are repeating ways of being that just don’t serve you anymore.  For whatever reason you have found yourself here, what I can offer you is a safe, supportive and confidential space where we can explore what has brought you to counselling together.

The way I work is grounded in the humanistic belief that you are an expert on your own life, and that you have within you the capacity to move towards positive change.  The therapeutic relationship itself is at the heart of this approach and you can expect me to be warm, honest and sensitive in the counselling relationship.  The integrative element of my training means that I can draw on a range of approaches to suit your needs.  We may look at early life and past experiences and how they continue to impact you and your ways of being or we may draw on creative and body focused approaches.  What is key is that we will work together to bring insight and understanding to your experience, as you find new ways of connecting with your full and true self and moving forward with your life.

I can work over shorter or longer periods of time depending on your preference and I currently work at The Therapy Space on Fridays. My rate is £40 per 60 minute session.  Concessionary rates for young adults between 18 and 25 are sometimes available on request.

I hold a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative counselling from the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling.

I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor with full clinical membership of UKCP.
